PERSEPHONE

Persephone was surprised to find her ally standing there on the border of the Forest as she emerged from the shadowy land, but not at all displeased. She paused in her tracks, content to divert her plans a little while to see what Mariael was doing here, and turned her attention to her visitor.

“Mariael,” she returned, greeting her with a small smile and a bob of her head. “Not at all, it’s good to see you again.”

She drew a little closer to her companion. Persephone was both pleased to receive a visit from this woman who she had quite admired on their first meeting, yet also ever so slightly apprehensive that her visit might have some more concerning purpose. But that was yet to be discovered, and so for now she greeted her guest happily.

“Welcome to the Forest. I was just on my way out, but I’d enjoy a catch up before I go. How are things in the Bay? What brings you to Luthien today?” she tilted her head, curiosity in her dark eyes and a warm smile on her lips.
