Can someone explain the Muldoon-lap $ thing a bit further? If I'm understanding correctly, Muldoon led laps during the classic last year and the track never paid him for the laps led? Aren't all 200 laps of the classic sponsored by individuals within the racing community and not the speedway? I thought that money was paid directly to the drivers for laps led? I'm really interested in hearing more about this and getting clarification. I've recently thought about sponsoring a few laps but not if the money doesn't reach the drivers, as I thought it did.
