"Too young am I? Didn't you know, I am quite ancient. I only appear young because of magic," she teased. Matianak was in no way serious with her statement. She simply desired to build a stronger relationship with the boy. After all, if she was to use him to her ends, she needed to maintain a level of kindness and friendship with varying levels of deception and truth.
The woman laughed light-heartedly. It was a somewhat foreign sound from her lips, but it did not sound out of place. "Yes, you did. Getting better at that stealth I see. Well done," Matianak praised. It was not a complete lie. She was merely more experienced, but Triton would get there. With the right nudge and the right guidance, he would be quite the force to send forth if she needed it. She preferred to do the dirty work herself, but sometimes a bit of muscle was necessary. Matianak grinned as he said it was just her he was doing this too. If she had been of a different mind, she might have been more flattered and blushed. The grey woman could not deny feeling flattered. It also meant she was starting to sink her claws in.
"Easy to track down if they are pack wolves, but will you get what you need from them?" she inquired. Perhaps it was a little bit premature to ask. Then again, if he desired to be a diplomat for Eden, they would be working quite hand in hand as she acquired information by different means. "It seems you and I might be working together if all goes well for us both. You the Kindness, and I the Owl," she mused. That would actually work out quite nicely if Triton was successful.
Her tail waved a bit at the prospect. She had a feeling Triton would be excited by the prospect as well. "What else have you been up to my young friend?" she asked, figuring it was the best way to figure out what else he had been up to. Perhaps he had managed to make friends that were the younger generation of the pack. After all, Triton needed to be able to interact with all sort in order to be a good diplomat.
