WE banned ( or make it hard to own) Thompson Sub machine guns. why not make the law regarding assault rifles and military rifles (automatic selection) so restricted to own to effectively eliminate dangerous people to own one - restrict ammo, magazines, only ownership to those who pay large tax ( like thompso machine guns) and to retired officers of military sevice, passed mental exam , etc, etc. This is from a resonable NRA member.
