Oh boy. Doesn't anyone remember the New York Times essay in which Dr. Natapoff of MIT brilliantly analyzed the similarities between World Series champions and electoral winners? He pointed out that, in the 1996 Series, New York beat Atlanta 4-2, though the Braves outscored the Yankees in runs. Same thing in politics, and that's the way the Founders meant to have it. Any changes must be done by Constitutional amendment, which in this atmosphere of mutual hatred is highly unlikely to pass. So let's put this to rest, hunh?
