Being of terrain focused while I was a Grunt; I always thought that pilots call sign were their own choice. Seem to a KISS solution the problem to allow fighter pilot provide a priority listing of name they would prefer to be called. and let the squadron commander to decide. No wonder the Navy is having a pilot retension problem. And minorities need to be more thick skinned about their status , and others need to understading about sensitivity . I wonder hiow much is minority bias is being used by minorities to excuse some inadequaticies. It was something I noted while on active duty and later in civilian work . But, most, they usually were handled OK. But we all do have those insensitive and biased individuals in life.
