She was pregnant, for the first time. She had been willing to Warsaw as he hadn't exactly thrown himself at her at any point since she met him. Yes, she knew he would demand a foal from her but she felt it was alright since he didn't treat her the way that other stallion had. Perhaps some would have told her that other stallion was normal and maybe it was because it had been her first heat and her first time, but at that time she didn't think she was ready to raise a foal. Now, even though she was still young at 4 years old, almost five she felt a little more confident in successfully raising a foal. She was nervous and scared about it, yes, but she was sure the other mares here would stand by her and help her when she needed it. She wasn't alone after all. There was a whole herd to depend upon.

However; as summer ended and fall took shape, the days were getting shorter here and the nights colder. The grass was slowly becoming less nutritious then it was in summer and that is what really worried her. She was eating for two now and ate a lot more then she uses to. Her stomach was slowly starting to show the fact that she was indeed pregnant. She had days where she really didn't want to be bothered by anyone either. Today though, which was sunny and some warmth did radiate around she wouldn't mind company. Her ears were constantly swiveling listening to everything around her. She knew the others weren't far off. Her tail lashed out at the flies that remained to be a pest to them.

Occasionally she snaps out at her stomach at the flies as they could be quiet bothersome. She was in her late first trimester and determined to feed herself and this foal. She didn't know if she would be successful she was nervous and scared because she knew this land would be frozen over soon enough and they'd have to find alternative sources of food. And with so many of them pregnant it might become quite difficult to sustain themselves and the foal that grows in side them.
