I believe the bottom line on is that without the compromise on having two senators for each state regardless of population and the electoral system we would never have achieved a constitution. Bringing it to the modern day it is clear that pure democracy in a large population results in the tyranny of the majority -you can see it in all of our large cities where it is not posible to stop bums from destroying neighborhoods.
