Are we written in the sand

The man was wild, the one that appeared watching them from the thickest part of the forest. He seemed to be leaving, but stepped on a stick which alerted the mother and child to his prescence. At first, Cherish didn't recognize the stallion, but curiosity brought her a few steps closer. "Ruger?" The name pops into her head as she remembers that day two years ago when Clarity was conceived. Cullen had brought them together and made sure a baby was made all for his own selfish gain. Now she was free of his grasp, but Clarity was still the child of this wild Lagoon man.

Cherish had not been able to find him again after the mating and Cullen didn't seem to call him his brother anymore. She guessed he left the Lagoon life behind. Cherish clearly recalled the dissapointment on her son's face when he realized Clarity was a girl. The whole reason for the mating was so he could get a colt to raise like the Felony he remembered. His plan was reuined at the sight of Clarity and Cherish was able to name the girl herself and keep her from Cullen (who wanted nothing to do with her). He mentioned something abiut trying again next autumn, but then Ruger was no where to be found.

Cherish had been relieved he had gone, but after Clarity was born and she left on the run with Macabre, she became more curious of the stallion. She wanted to know what Ruger was like, wanted Clarity to know him. She didn't want to only remember him as the stallion who had a bloodline sought after by Cullen. She was sure Ruger was a different man than Cullen hoped him to be. She took a few steps closer to the stallion. He looked dangerous, he'll he might just be dangerous, but Cherish didn't care. "Clarity this is your sire." Clarity finds her footing upon her mother's words and her movement. She had been frozen in place previously, but her mother's calm helped her to move again.

The black and white filly moves closer to the stallion. She notices their similar color, but she doesn't notice anything else that connects them. She reaches out her muzzle to the stranger, faithfully believing her mother when she tells her who this was.
