Zjeena has mixed feelings about what went down between Liland and Rougaru, and none of them are positive. She loves Liland. He's a sweet stallion, adorable, with a big heart, but he really needs to grow a pair. Zjeena is extremely disappointed. She was disappointed when he lost the Bay, but losing her, right after she gave birth to twins is the cherry on the turd sundae. It's one thing to lose a mare in a challenge, but to lose his lead mare and her newborn twins is a big let down. Zjeena is beyond disappointed. She is angry.
And she is angry because she's terrified, not for herself, but for her foals. They are at a vulnerable age, and to be thrown into a herd with a strange stallion could potentially be a death sentence. She is not prepared to say goodbye to her babies, not after that hell of a pregnancy she went through to bring them into this world. And there's this motherly instinct that drives her to care about them well beyond the effort that went into creating them. She will not let this destroy them. She will provide the protection that Liland could not.
She will win back the Bay, and it will be hers to defend. As much as Zjeena loves Liland. She no longer respects him. Her mother was right about stallions. She set out in the world to prove her mother wrong and all the world did was prove her mother right. You want something done right? Do it yourself. Never rely on a stallion.
Her foals may be young but they are strong, like their mother. They make the swim with relative ease, and climb quietly climb ashore. Zjeena doesn't draw attention to herself. She's here. She doesn't need to eagerly interact with the stallion who stole her. Hopefully she can camp out, and keep her head down until she is well enough to challenge for her freedom.
