The past few years have been unexciting except for his growing romance with the Prairie girl. Now that Vita Nova was settled under his care and some new mares have filled the emptiness of his home, the Inlet was bursting with new things. The future of his new Kingdom felt bright as he watched his pregnant mares grow swollen and plump with his foals. Neon was the first to burst, bringing him a golden filly marked in white patches. She was healthy and attractive. Nothing, but the best from his bloodline.
Next, he watches his lead mare begin to change in behavior that night. He had bred all his mares so closely he couldn't remember who was first and who was last, but he wouldn't be surprised if he was blessed with four foals in the next few days. He didn't foresee his lead mare giving birth the next morning after a late night up with his new daughter Nerefyt, but he had tried to keep a close watch on Vita Nova. He tried to show her some comfort by keeping close, but she didn't seem to want his constant prescence. Ever since Jabari had tried to take Neon she has been acting strangely. No, actually her strange behaviour started with Shamwari stealing Celestria.
Her family was a burden and one he tried to keep her from, but Vita Nova didn't seen like she wanted to stay away. Even though he hated Shamwari and thought Jabari was a pile of garbage, he debated on giving Vita Nova the freedom to visit the Prairie. He might have made an offer to her if he thought she would return. Last time she left him to return home she never came back. Warsaw woke that morning to find his lead mare not within the vicinity of the herd. He grew worried she had left him and the thought that she might be giving birth didn't cross him until a day had passed. Still, he noted Neon had returned right after birthing their daughter so he assumed something bad must have happened.
Neon noticed her dissaperence, but he could offer her no answers when she asked him where their lead mare was. Ysabel also asked him a few times, but every time they got the same answer. He didn't want to admit that she might be gone forever. It felt like time was dragging on slowly until finally, Neon's call alerts him to Vita Nova's approach. Grey ears stand up in attention and his body freezes. He could feel his muscles tense up as he watches Neon so causally talk to her lead mare. His little palomino daughter follows Neon to greet Vita Nova and her two foals...TWO FOALS.
Just like that, he wasn't angry with her anymore, but the anger still remained. Instead, he directed some of it on the young mare who first greeted his mate and two heirs. Two heirs...
At first he just stood frozen at the sight of his two sons. One was an attractive light smokey color and the other was a dashing dark black with a lot of white marking. They were both very different in color, but there was no denying who the father was this time. He steps towards them with long strides and proud steps. His head is held high and everything about him speaks the stature of a King. He was determinded to impress his young foals even if their opinions didn't matter yet. The wish that this moment could be shared alone was evident with how he moves pass Neon without a greeting and instantly reaches his neck out to nuzzle against Vita Nova's shoulder.
This action was followed by a quick glare back at Neon, one that said beat it. He had his moment alone with Neferyt, but now it was time he spent with his two heirs and their mother. His attention doesn't linger on Neon long before his eyes were looking his lead mare over. "I thought you had...nevermind. You have done this kingdom well by birthing not one, but two heirs." His brown gaze zones in on their sons. His head lowers towards them with his nose extended to take in their scents. These boys were deffiently his. "Hello my sons."
