Falls

It has been some time since Björn has actually been near to a child. He watches the colt, the energy that bursts from him. The colt frolics in the water. A smile touches the pink lips of the grulla stallion. In that moment, a fond memory bubbles to the surface. It was of Björn as a child, kicking up his heels. His father had stood watching nearby next to his mother. Björn remembers the warmth of the summer sun against his pelt, it warms him even in this moment. He could hear the trickle of the creek as if he stood next to it now.


"A snake?" He questions. "Has the demon been vanquished?" He asks the woman.
