Bahadır
alwaqt la yughayir alwaqt yakshif

Bahadır avoids the monochromatic beast that resides deep within the Desert. He can still feel the bruises from the stallion colliding with him just a few days ago. He could feel the anger, it burns redhot within his chest, just at the thought of the hairy beast. A soft evening breeze tosses his thick mess of black mane, and cools the sweat that pricks along his shoulders. He shivers against the cool breeze.

His steps slow as he catches movement in front of him. As if Bahadır has spoke the beast into existence, there he is, hiding within the Desert. He has no interest in confronting the beast right now, so he takes a path that leads away from where the horses mill. He knows of an oasis further in the Desert where he can quench his thirst. Darkness begins to swallow him up, wrapping him a cloak of obscurity.

Bahadır's nostrils begin to quiver as the cool, refreshing scent of water tickles his nose. He quickens his steps into an animated trot, his hooves move across the sand with the grace of his ancestors. He does not slow at the edge of the water but he splashes forward until his knees are in the cool waters. A sigh escapes his lips. He drops his dark gaze to the water's surface, as the ripples cease their moving. He sees the reflection of the starry night sky. The stars were twinkling and radiant. in their blanket of black.

He takes a sip of the sweet waters, a refreshing reward after the trek in from the sea. "'Shukraan lak almiah." He whispers, thanking the waters for their sweet relief.
