hold me in this wild, wild world;

Talien was growing familiar with the surroundings of the Bay. To be honest it was not her favorite environment, but it was not so extremely terrible. She came from a land where snow and ice was not seen often. There was only a handful of occasions in which she could remember seeing snow and yet here, it seemed to be a long term tenant. Her once thin coat was already growing thicker as the season passes and with it, so does her belly begin to swell with the signs of life hidden within. She had thought at first that perhaps Liland's seed had not found purchase and she would be free to go about her way. As he stated Liland was a careful guardian, keeping close watch on his mares and ensuring that they stayed away from the borders and likewise refused to let others in. Once she had heard wolves in the forest around the small lake, but despite his small stature, Liland had made quick work of them and ensured the safety of the herd. Despite the turmoil of their meeting, Talien had to give it to him, at least the stallion was diligent.

She snorts softly now, blowing a plume of hot breath into the air. Single forelimb raises to strike back down upon the snow encrusted landscape, raking clear a patch of yellow grasses hidden beneath. Thick chocolate colored tail flicks back and forth against swollen belly. "At least there are no flies." she murmurs to herself, giving her thick fur a shake, sending frosted snowflakes dancing from her skin. It wasn't all bad. Cold, but not too terrible.
