i do what i want

He was hoping to find company while he played around, but he was hoping they'd be a little more friendly than what he got. He noticed movement as he ran along and thought for a moment, he might be able to invite the mare to run with him. He gave out a friendly call and kicked up his heels again, trying to show her just how much fun he was having in the brisk air. Tossing his head, he lifted it high, blue eyes taking her in before his nostrils flared and he suddenly caught a whiff of her scent. Wait...she didn't smell like the Bay. Of course, she could be a herd mare that went exploring and just got back. Who was he to know? He lifted his tail and called out to her again, pausing to check her out better. There was something strong and imposing about her. He took in the scar across her eye and snorted softly, his ears flicking back in uncertainty.

The mare suddenly took off toward him in the snow and he stood his ground for a minute. Maybe she wanted to play, after all? He swished his tail and did a half rear, challenging her to a game of tag with his fore hooves striking the air, but when she got closer, her ears flattened and his head jerked back in response, a rough snort falling from his nostrils as he took a step back. She suddenly didn't look at all like she wanted to play. She yelled at him, calling him "boy" and he scowled, one brow arching as he looked her over. Sure, she was bigger than him but she didn't look much older. He held his ground as she came up alongside him, his gaze looking at her in question until she lunged for his shoulder. He stomped a hoof in protest, his own ears flattening before he reached out to nip her right back on her neck. "You could just ask nicely, you know. And you can use my name, Kamekaze. It sounds much nicer from those pretty lips than Boy." He curled his lips back in a teasing grin as he danced out of her reach, noting that she was going for his shoulders again.

"So if I tagged you last, guess that means you'll have to catch me to tag me again, right? Oh, and I'll be needing the name of my opponent before I go with you. Rules of the game, sorry." He rolled his shoulders in a shrug even as he gave her a charming look that said "sorry, not sorry" plain as day. He swished his tail and braced himself for retaliation, ready to dodge or defend if needed but he would plan to stay out of her reach until she at least gave him a name.
