It was never a good decision to be pregnant and fighting. Desirie knew this first hand from a previous life, but that did not make this situation any better. She worries over her friend as she fights off a stallion challenger. Shaydowfax has shown her herd many times that she was a strong fighter and a mare fit to be their leader. Desirie feels sad at her loss, but the mare does not give up hope. Shaydowfax charges the stallion again and fights to stay in control. They would both be the leaders of the Dune. Desirie could live with this as long as Bahadir was a decent stallion. They did not have to agree on everything, but he had to be good and he had to treat her daughter with respect as Libra carries his child.

Desirie would seek out Bahadir at a later time because it was Shaydowfax that she worries for. She hopes the mare was okay with this new leadership and that she wasn't too hurt. Most of all, she hopes the mare's unborn foal was well. Desirie trots over the sand dunes in search of Shaydowfax or anyone of the herd before Bahadir came along. She had not gotten to meet the two mares Shaydowfax brought in, but now was as good a time as any. The Marwari spots her fearless leader along with the palomino mare she knew to be one of the herd. She approaches the two with a nicker just as Shaydowfax begins to groom the golden mare. "Shaydowfax." She says her name between breaths as she gets closer.

"I have come to check in and make sure you are well." She gives the wounded mare a smile before allowing the palomino to know she was a friend. "I don't believe we have met. My name is Desirie, Shaydowfax's Lady." She wasn't sure if that title still stood, but titles didn't matter so much to her anymore as long as everyone knew she was here to stay.
