She could sense he was there before he even steps from the shadows of the jungle, she can feel his emerald gaze on her back, hear the soft even tempo of his breathing. She does not move just stands there waiting to see what he will do. Will he just linger in the shadows? Or actually approach her so that they could talk? She sucks her breath in sharply through delicate nostrils, as the last of the tears drip down her tear streaked cheeks. She opens her bicolored eyes and swivels her delicately chiseled head to face him. Her face is stoney and indifferent as she looks at him, and watches with satisfaction as his dark green eyes flicker in confusion. How could he not know? And act as if nothing was wrong? "You can tell me what you did to Sanibel," the words leave her lips sharply, filling the dusk with their malicious tone. She turns her head away from him, not able to look at him. Her heart thunders wildly within her chest, threatening to leap onto the sandy shores beneath her hooves. "I feel betrayed Rougaru," she snorts. "I was made a fool, I even defended you," she says with a raise of her delicate crown and jerks her head to look at him again. Her bicolored eyes search his emerald eyes, prodding him for answers. She had not wanted to believe the words that had left Shamwari's mouth. What excuses would he make up? Or would he just let the truth settle between them. Their child kicks and somersaults, knocking her ribs with its delicate hooves. She heaves a sigh and shifts her weight, her swelling belly grows larger and more uncomfortable with each passing day.
