Admiring the unique mare, Ironclad wishes he was older. The thought was probably a common one between young foals, but Ironclad wishes he was older so he wouls be taken seriously by these mares. He had eyes for this red mare and his future Queen Xiomara, but he was so young that he couls not keep control of them. He wantes both of these mares in his future herd, but both marea were much older than himself. By the time he inherited this land they may be in love with someone else and he would be too late. The colt has no idea he was like his father in this sense.

She comments on how polite he was which causrs the colt to beam a smile. His charms were working! If he kept trying he could win over the females even as he got older and not as cute as he was now. She introduces herself as Cherokee and that she has come here as a trade with the Lagoon. He was curious if it was his mother who made such a deal, but he was haooy about it either way. He wonders who it was Cherokee was traded for. He asks about her curious markings and ahe answers that they were not from a war. His bottom lip pokes out momentarily because he wished he was talking to a warrior mare just like Xiomara was.

She was still cool anyway. "The foals you grew up with don't know what cool is. From war or not, I still think they look cool." He gives her a smile before his little mind ponders on what mare the herd was saying goodbye to. "Do you know who they traded you for, miss?" He asks in his polite manner. If he asks nicely she might have an answer for him. He has learned this by watching his parents talk to each other.
