Devil's gonna get you if I don't first

Depression has always lay deep in the stallion's body, but it had never shown itself until now. Warsaw has caused depression is many that have met him, but their feelings have never bothered him before now. He was the great stallion of caused and destruction that left a ripple in his wake. Every place he visited, every horse he crossed paths with knew his name. Most knew his name for the things he has done to wrong another, usually a mare, but very few knew him as someone to befriend. Some look to him as a father figure, others love him, but most hate him. Most want to see him die in the pit of fire known as hell. To Warsaw, and what he believes in, his death would not be in the fire. There was Helheim which was an ice underworld where the dishonorable went or those who did not die in battle. Right now, that is where he would be going. Warsaw was dishonorable in this very moment in time.

But Vita Nova would be in Valhalla.

Letavice's voice brings a smile on his lips, but it quickly fades as quickly as it had come. The colts look between their parents as if they knew something was wrong. They could feel the tension and Warsaw knows his boys were not stupid. Vita Nova tells the boys to play and Ironclad doesn't hesitate to oblige. A quick nip to his brother initiates a game of tag that sends the dark grey colt bouncing off into the trees. He does not go too far, but just far enough that his parents were out of earshot. "They are so weird lately." He says to his brother with a roll of his blue eyes. Meanwhile, Warsaw just watches his Queen until the twins are a good distance away. He doesn't know where to begin or what he should say first. He doesn't know if he can bring himself to beg for her forgiveness, for her love. After being beaten down by the warrior goddess Xiomara and now the Fjord Liland who has wared with him for some time, did he have anything left to lose? Yes, his family...

"Vita Nova I..." He tries to say something, anything, but everything just seems so wrong. "You're hurt." His concern for her wounds was the only thing he could properly get out. Despite his own wounds, they were nothing compared to what she bore now. Heavy with his child, swollen, and in trouble. He could see the pain in her eyes even though she tried to hide it. The mare was strong indeed, her family was strong, and she had picked her strong lover. Had was the key word.He takes a painful step towards her, but more pain would come to him if she stepped away. If she rejected him..."I have caused you pain." He speaks, taking more steps closer. He takes a step into the icy creek, the only thing separating them now. "I didn't mean to. I didn't know you felt so strongly about Xiomara. I..." His head shakes his dark forelock from his eyes. "Got lost. I believed the gods were telling me something about her, but I was wrong in their message."

"Maybe the gods didn't send her at all. Maybe I just..." Lost to a mare. He couldn't bear to say the words out loud. "Xiomara is a strong foe and I thought she gained her strength from Valhalla. I had done something to anger Odin and he wanted revenge. He sent her to tare my Kingdom apart, but I went down the wrong path. I followed the trail of darkness, of power, so they granted you the strength to vanquish the evil. You saved me, saved us." Cold waters wrap around his ankles as he enters the stream. Mochas never leave his Queen as he walks on. His limps through the deeper part of the creek, fighting the current. "I can't lose you." The words choke out with suprising emotion. He reaches the swallow side if the creek and begins to step on the bank and extend his muzzle out to her. "Please tell me you still love me."
