Call me a dunderhead, but I'm suspicious that our intelligence about where this guy could be hit maybe came from Terhan. The government could have seen this general as a loose cannon that was holding up any chance Iran could talk Trump out of loosening the sanctions that have them in a world of hurt. All this talk of retaliating might be b.s. Their biggest worry is unrest at home, and this general won't be missed either by the general population or the government. As I say, I'm just a suspicious dunderhead, but...?
