The road goes ever on

He was surprised to see Yngvar and how much he has grown. The young colt was practically grown now. He was now taller than Roheryn and his figure held less of that young colt appearance. Roheryn has not seen the colt since he met him in the Prairie with Jabari. He had come to find a playmate and though Ro had been older, he had obliged to play with him. Roheryn had always been a fun-loving colt even as a three-year-old. It was just this past year that has changed him into wanting responsibility. The way the bay tobiano carried himself Ro could tell he was already more mature then he had been at his age.

Roheryn wonders what all happened to the colt since they have seen each other last. His white and golden head nods to Yngvar as he speaks his name and stops in front of him. "You have grown, Yngvar. How are you doing?" He wants to catch up with the young lad he thinks as a friend, but Creed's voice catches him off guard. Following Yngvar was the ebony mare he had met just months ago in summer. It was obvious she felt more at home next to a member of the Forest. That planted the seed of doubt in Roheryn's mind that she would take his offer to come to the Badlands. Still, she says hello in her sweet voice and manages to ask a question of him. His head shakes in a 'no' answer.

"Unfortunately, I have not been successful." His eyes show some longing as he speaks, but thankfully, Persephone arrives with enough distraction to set his mind back on course. He collects himself as the bay varnish approaches, straightening up to show respect. He notes the large belly on the Forest leader and wonders just how hard it was leading a herd while pregnant. He thinks of what he has done to Daciana and feels guilty. He would have offered her an equal partnership if they mare hadn't been so hostile. He wasn't sure he could work with that hostility, but he was giving that some time to see how her mood changed once she gave birth. Maybe it was her hormones just like that stallion had said.

A small smile crosses his lips as his head dips with respect. He allows her herd members to answer her first before announcing his intentions of coming here. "It is nice to formally meet the owner of this Forest. I have come here many times in my youth with my sister Primrose. We used to play here with a young stallion named Han." Maybe explaining his connection with the Forest may help enlighten the mare that he was no threat. "I am Roheryn de Mikhail, formally of the Prairie. I now reside in the Badlands as the lead stallion. I have come to offer an alliance between our herds as well as ask an important question of Creed." Maybe all this was too much, but he wouldn't learn unless he went for it.

His body angles towards the skittish ebony mare. "Creed, I was touched by your willingness to help me, a stranger, in finding my sister. I am intrigued to learn more about you and I wanted to offer you a place in my herd. That is if Persephone allows it and you are interested." He gives another bow of his head to both Creed and Persephone. Was it odd for a stallion to ask a mare to join him in front of her lead mare? Really, he had no idea what was traditional and what wasn't.
