War was eminent. He could feel it like an electric current in the air. Like the scent of rain before a storm or the dry heat of sunshine on a winter day. It was coming.
Chocolate skin picks with anticipation as nostrils quiver, inhaling the crisp scents and willing the beast to settle within his breast. For days now the wolf paced, it's black lips parted to reveal rows and rows of ivory fangs. Yellow eyes glinted behind his green as the beast thirsted for the days to come, as though its growls might quicken the pace. Twin sonars flex now as the scent of testosterone catches his senses. Glittering jade eyes cast roaming gaze over the white capped waves til sights fall upon the dark stallion that headed towards paradise.
For the briefest of moments, the alpha roared to the surface. For a moment, he felt the wolf's fur bristling and adrenaline pulses through his veins. For a moment, he feels the urge to charge into the surf and tear the intruder appart. For a moment.
Muscles taunt beneath his chocolate-colored skin as the dragga charges down the winding path that lead to the shores. Emerald eyes blink slowly as ash dusted nostrila flare, inhaling the strong scents that drifted toward him. Lagoon. Cullen. Vaguely he remembers the bachelor stallion remarking that he would send a few of his stallions to Atlantis to aide his second in guarding the mares who stayed behind with the foals. This must be one of them.
Slowly tension ebbs from his skin, dissipating with each retreating wave until there is nothing that remained except the stoic figure of Rougaru, waiting patiently as the stallion rose from the surf. Brilliant multifaceted eyes blink slowly at the stronger as a baritone wicker rumbles from his lungs in greeting. "Reinforcements?" He inquires, a single lobe tilting towards him as a mild smile traces across the curve of his lips. Replies:
