Sauron barely left his mothers side, just a little here and there to romp around or chase after some scorpions. But today, today he was a little over a month old. The young colt was now much more adventurous. He didn't mind the heat at all really and knew to return to mom or to the water to get cooled off so now while his mother sleeps the young colt wanders from her side following after a little rodent like creature.

His nostrils flare taking in its scent and tilting his head wandering if it was making noise because he had a hard time hearing. He didn't even have ears so some probably thought him deaf. He had watched the others move their ears and had tried to copy them but felt nothing respond and so had looked at himself in the water. He asked his mom why he had no ears and she couldn't really explain it.

The little rodent like thing went down a hole and he stuck his nose in it and snorted as he pulled it back with an angry rodent chattering at him and glaring. He shakes his head at it and watches it dissapear again but this time he does not put his nose in the hole.
