Devil's gonna get you if I don't first

He hadn't planned for this, but improvising seems to be a thing he did a lot of lately. The war had only just begun, but he was already returning home to make sure his first captive made it there safely with her foal. He knew how dangerous the ocean could be to a young child and it would be such a pity if he lost her before they got to play his little game. Dark eyes are fixated to the back of her golden skull as they swim from the Dunes, where she collects her painted colt, to the Inlet. Warsaw was surprised to see the colt was earless and wonders why she had let such a defective child to live. He has dealt with defects before, but none as great as missing a part of their body.

Then again he recalls the limp little Tavas had sometimes around the Inlet and how one of her legs was turned oddly. Celestria couldn't see out of one of her eyes, but her twin sister had been completely blind which is why Warsaw only took one of them under his care. Without a proper stallion around, any foal would be given time to survive though he now knew Shaydowfax had a stallion controlling the Dunes now. He knew the colt wasn't the son of the Salem stallion and he also took note of how well the colt swam. It seems his defect was just an eyesore, but the jury was still out on that verdict.

They reach the shore and as soon as his hooves touch the beach Shaydowfax is turning towards him with glaring eyes. He didn't expect her to be happy about all this, but he had to take all the opportunities laid out before him. She begins chattering like a bird and snapping her teeth in his direction. His eyes roll. "That was not my intention. Not this time." He says with eyes blazing with fire. "I'm not sure who I wanted to capture more." His eyes glance at the small painted figure behind her. "You or that colt of yours." A grin spread across his lips as he begins to take steps closer.

"I know who his father is." He says, remembering last time he played their conversation as if he didn't know. "His father used to be a friend, but now he has done me a great disservice. No matter how much I want to kill you it seems you may be more valuable left alive." His lips reveal a row of aged, yellow, teeth that he uses to snap towards her shoulder. He pulls back after the quick action of aggression. "For now anyway." His grin returns along with that certain sparkle in his dark eyes.
