Use caution when the Wolf comes aknockin;

Rougaru eyes Wasp with cautious eyes. Of course he felt no fear of her, surprising enough considering that she stood for what he fought so hard to help Warsaw control. However it was the hard set of her jaw and the firm gleam in her eyes that concern him. A single ear swivels as he moves to join her on the beachscape. Proud neck arches in invitation as he takes slow ambling steps down the white sands, inviting her to another of their walks along the shores. She remarks about the war and the chocolate stallion cannot help but to dip his head in acknowledgment. "Yes I've heard of it." He murmurs, pausing in his words to chew over what falls next. Sure if Warsaw could see him now, or even Cullen... No doubt the two would have a few choice words about the company he found himself in but not Rougaru. Wasp was special to him... Her way of thinking... Her determination... She reminded him of himself in his youth.

A single ear swivels towards Wasp as he continues on. "Warsaw has been my comrade for many many seasons now. Our lines are tied through a number of my offspring that roam these islands. It seemed only fitting I come to his side when he called for it." He murmurs.

She asked how concerned that the peak mares should be and he can do nothing more than to stop and meet her gaze with emerald eyes steady and emotionless. It is all he can give to her. She inquires if his herd is ready and he nods briefly. Wasp would never be his enemy even if they did fight on opposite sides of a war. "A number of my mares plan to follow me into the war. They are a formidable bunch and do not appreciate coddling." He adds with a gentle chuckle doing his best to lighten the mood no matter how dour it may be.

But as she begins to drum up the real reason she has come. The stallion pauses. His gaze fixed upon her. "Peak mares?" He says voicing his curiosity aloud. Cullen had failed to mention that little tidbit of information when he requested an exchange for Solaris. Tension pulses beneath chocolate skin as he breaks his gaze away from her and turns towards the dense jungle. They were there... Hidden far beyond the line of sight.. The peak mares. A single dial swivels back to meet Wasp's gaze. She wanted to strike a bargain.

For a moment he is silent, weighing the pros and cons that worked their way through his mind. For once the wolf is silent, waiting and watching with fetid breath to see what it is he could come up.

"I will return them to you Wasp...." He begins, his voice trailing a moment before he continues again. "If your peak mares say out of the war. I do not like the idea of facing one I consider my friend. I have my own reasons for being apart of this and I cannot see myself out. You can." He breathes. His tones calm despite the anger that rolls through him at the thought of Cullen's betrayal. They were supposed to be lagoon trinkets... Not his captives that were exchanged. Emerald green eyes meet her dark brown now as he searches her gaze. "You have my word Wasp." He breathes... And he meant them.
