Al,
I agree that Biden is definitely failing at this point.
I don't really understand what your second sentence means.
It seems to me that the "Warren Effect" would be to pull voters away from Sanders in the primary fight, and (hopefully) prevent him from getting the nomination.
This leaves Boetticheg as the main moderate alternative at this point.
(The Sanders and Warren supporters would ultimately have to coalesce around some more moderate candidate, if Sanders and Warren self-destruct in the primary fight).
But---that doesn't prevent the moderate Democrats who don't particularly like Boetticheg (like myself) from turning to Bloomberg as the moderate alternative to Sanders.
