The buckskin Sabino mare very rarely was away from her mother, but now that she has met her brother and his small family she had spent some time away from her mother. So when she woke up and she was alone she began to panic. Her nostrils flaring asshe stands there and looks around her for anyone she knew. When none came she began to test the air for her mother's scent. She moves toward the ocean and pauses there. Why did her mothers scent lead to the ocean? Her ears flick around as she turns her face this way and that trying to find her scent leading else where, but when it didn't she sighs and plunges into the ocean. She pushs her body through the waves and swims till she gets to shore. She shakes her pelt out as she tests the air and walks the beach till she finds her mothers scent again.
She follows it calmly her ears twitching as she jumps over a fallen log and now hears the falls. She follows the sound and her mothers scent. When she gets there she observes her mother peering through the waterfall itself and she tilts her head to the side and moves into the water and come up upon her side. Momma, what you doing?She asks unaware of the stallion on the other side of the waterfall. The water masked his appearance and his smell after all and all she could hear was the fall's.
She doesn't dare put her face nearer to the water at the moment or get closer to it. Everything made her jumpy and edgy after all. Replies:
