You are my brother. The emotion hangs on every syllable that slips from her lips, and he can feel his heart hammer against his ribs. He had never expected any of this. He has met her before, but never would he of assumed they were siblings.

"My dearest Bahadir, find Evren, she will tell you of your father, his mothers words wrapped around him. Her voice soft and sweet to his young ears. He had paid no heed to her words on that sultry summer day, no he had giggled and then set off at a trot across the searing desert sands of their homeland. His tail waved over his back, as he stopped on the top of a dune and cast a glance over his shoulder. She had never told him of why they left the Desert behind. Why they had left father behind?

Her next words widen his dark eyes, and he can feel his heart quicken in his chest. Evren. The name lingers in the still air between them. It was the name his mother had whispered to him so many years ago. He listens to her weave her sad tale of loss and loneliness; his heart aches for her, for his sister.

"My mother also left the Desert shortly after I was born... we left the Islands all-together," he says aloud, his dark eyes search her face. "Mother told me that I must find Evren, she can tell me all that I need to know about father," he muses aloud.

He had never met his father, but mother had spoke fondly of him. She always laughed and remembered him with a smile on her lips. "Did you ever meet our Father?" he asks, curiosity fills his dark eyes. He hopes that maybe she could piece together the puzzle that he labels as Orhan. He just wants to hear the sound of his voice. He yearns to hear the wisdom that a sultan of Desert could offer.
