Geneva had decided to make her claim for the lead mare position. Plus she had needed a good fight. So she had called out her challenge and Harlequin had answered it. It honestly was a blast to fight her for many reasons. She did hope their was no hard feelings when Geneva eventually won. She didn't want to be enemies with anyone in the herd. She wasn't doing it to force the mares to do anything but she felt the need to step up, to lead them and help Cain with the day to day business of running the herd. Where he physically protected the herd from other stallions she wished to be the mother hen to the herd and make sure they were healthy and happy.

She had dried blood on her shoulder and a bruise forming on her rump. Both would heal in time. Her stomach was not noticably round yet, but by now most probably knew she was pregnant as she was not in season like the other who have not bred. She did hope Harlequin was alright but she had left the fight not long after to get a drink.

She would find Harlequin at some point to check in on her if she didn't find her first. Perhaps she should tell the other mares and Cain of the development? She had told Cain her intentions and he had no problem with it what so ever. Which was good, it means their lessons to him about herd life were sinking in. Every herd needed their leaders. So leaves the cave she had saught to get her drink from and collect her sleeping 6 month old from. Leading him out she heads to the other oasis and calls out to who ever was around.
