He stands idle at the edge of the surf while it hisses and froths at his hooves. His glacial eyes focus on the distant dark green smeer that is the Lagoon. Within that putrid land, his son and his Queen's daughter are trapped. His heart lurches as he thinks of the fear and anxiety that they must be experiencing.
His wounds have started to scab over and he can finally walk through the jungle without dragging his hind leg. So much has crumbled around him, from losing Tigerlily and now the children. He drops his head with an grunt and a heavy sigh on his lips. For a moment he broods with his thoughts, he allows the anger to boil and seethe beneath his smoky hide. He will go to the Lagoon and reek havoc on those imbeciles.
He turns from the sea and limps up the beach, his hind leg still pains him but he grows stronger with each passing day. As he wanders the length of the beach, he feels the need to speak with his beloved Siobhan. He pushes himself from the beach and into the thick foliage of the Ridge, the jungle sounds surround him. The chatter of the brightly colored birds and screeches of the howler monkeys all echo within the canopy overhead.
The trail twists and turns through the jungle until finally he finds himself within a quaint clearing. His nostrils flare from exertion, as he slows to a halt near the babbling brook. The water slips over the mossy rocks with a melodic tinkle and bubbling; a sigh escapes from parted lips as he settles into the shadows. A nicker leaves his lips as he beckons Siobhan to come to their clearing. He fondly remembers this clearing almost as if it were just yesterday when Sigurdr had sparred for the spotted girl.
