The colt seemed distracted and thoughtful which wouldn't do at all. Didn't he knew he should be paying attention when she was talking to him? But no matter, she would gain his attention soon enough. He told her to lead on and Medusa straightened up proudly. With a swish of her tail, she pracned off into the jungle, knowing exactly where she was taking him. She'd gone this way countless times before. The cave seemed intimidating at first but once she'd figured out how to adjust her eyes to the dim lighting, it wasn't so scary then. The snakes were a new addition though. She'd only seen them here for the past week or so. Of course, she knew better than to enter the cave while they were there but she still thought she should show Noctis, in case he knew more about what was going on. He stopped and looked down and she waited patiently for some kind of wise words to come from his mouth. But instead he backed up with flared nostrils as if they'd tried to bite him or something. She scowled in disapproval, her little ears folding back as she stomped her hoof. He acted like he'd seen a ghost or something. Her head tilted in curiosity. Finally he told her that they were neither fighting nor playing but that they should leave. She glared in his direction as she snorted and shook her head. "They won't even pay attention to you. I've been coming here for days and they've never even looked my way. Sometimes there's more of them and sometimes there's less. Are they killing each other and hiding the bodies or do they just play and go their separate ways?" Maybe if she kept asking questions, he would forget about his silly suggestion to leave. She wasn't scared of them so why was he? The colt backed up till he hit a tree and she made a tsk noise. "Silly head, there's a tree there. Why you acting scared for? They're just snakes."
