Thanks for well wishes and prayers for my mom. I'm fortunate that despite her physical disability, she is mentally sharp -- when she moved into LTC one year ago, we installed a private phone line (speaker phone) in her room. We're really glad we did this...I speak with her every day. She seems to be coping well and so far there has been no outbreak. PTL.

I was glad to see the American Federal Government introduce guidelines for returning to normalcy. Of course, the challenge will be to implement these measures and to do enough testing to monitor their effectiveness. I'd like to see the Canadian governments (federal and provincial) do the same. I live in a rural area where the number of infections/deaths are very low...I'd like to see them ease up on some of the restrictions in our county...I think LTC and retirement homes need to maintain current restrictions, but perhaps some people should be allowed to return to work and meetings up to 50 people should be allowed.

Based on everything I'm seeing in NYS and the gated/phased approach that is being implemented, I think it is highly unlikely we'll see racing in May.

For now it's stay well and stay home.
