He was changing with age, but the boyish charm still lingers. He still wishes to run and play with the foals, but since his father came home from the war injured as he was, Verrat has changed. The sense to protect his father was stronger than he ever thought it would be. He began to think and look, at others differently. Even his own bachelors were looked at like that could be up to something. He was walking by the pair, the mare he was told about by his father, but the colt was unknown to him so he decides to eavesdrop. His father has tasked him to help keep Yazheen here while he returned to Luthien and he planned to stay on that task even though his father had since returned from war.

Cullen was in no condition to keep anyone from leaving and they had already lost so many of their mares and foals in the war so it was up to him. Pearl colored ears were alert and leaned towards the colt as he approaches closer. He heard a certain sentence that draws him closer and weary of the silver-haired colt. "We aren't talking about treason are we?" He stomps a hoof as he watches the two of them for answers. It was clear the mare didn't want to be here, typical of a claimed mare in the Lagoon, but this colt was who he was really curious about. Verrat didn't recall hearing about this new recruit.
