He was prepared to fight Adolfo knowing the stallion would never allow Adelia to leave. He remembers the day he met Adelia and she told him about her nasty brother and how he was keen on the idea of keeping her here. He was glad she ended up here only because they had met and now had beautiful foals together, but it was time she tasted freedom. Brown eyes narrow on Adolfo as he speaks his vile words. Adolfo moves to stand between himself and his mate so Augustine bears his teeth at the stallion. Adolfo talks as if he and Cullen were close.

He snorts as the stallion threatens his actions to be treachery. He may be right, but he had planned to try and make it up to Cullen in a different way so that he could move on with his life in the Lagoon. He had been a simple stallion only wishing for the comfort of many pretty mares, no strings attached. Then he met Adelia and his whole mindset changed. Maybe it would be better if he left with them and started a life of a herd stallion. Before he knew it, the fight had begun. Adolfo charged him with teeth grabbing onto his shoulder. Augustine cries out in his first feeling of actual pain, but he keeps his focus.

His own teeth snap towards Adolfo and reach for anything he could attach himself on.
