no, get mad! burn down houses with lemons!

Helping another who was on edge to feel at ease when she spoke, when they had been unsure or hesitant in speaking, always made her feel better. She enjoyed it when conversations moved forward, and not around and around in circles. She found she quite adored his laughter, as the sound was all she wanted to hear from any. It was a good tension relief for her to be talking with someone who showed some actual emotion in their responses, in the way they looked around and moved and simply existed.

Leyra grins at his words.

“Oh, I know I’m prone to making most men take a moment there and not just because I’m a bodacious babe,” she says with a little shake of her head, to emphasise her comment, “But running rings around them with words is just as… well, fun,” she finishes, with no other words for it. There had been none, after all.

It was all just fun.

Lukasz however, did not stare at her blankly, standing there only calm. She didn’t feel like she needed to stick a pin in him and see if he went whizzing off around the land, full of air. No, she found she quite enjoyed his presence. He was quieter, true, but she didn’t need them to try to be some boyo who played at being a stallion. Leyra found it was better when they also were, you know, alive.

“No promises there, sweetie,” she says with an innocent grin. “Though, I’m sure you could handle most of the trouble I brought, right?” she continues. Leyra did mean it all in fun and, especially right now, quite the flirt. In return, she would give her energy and her life to help protect and be part of it. She didn’t know who he was beyond this moment in time, but she found she didn’t want to hurry along to the place she was supposed to call home.

“So, if you don’t mind my asking… are you from this place, or did you drift in like I did on the ride and wake up feeling like you’d had one too many and had no idea where the hell you were?” Leyra inquired.

Curious as ever - but couldn’t exactly ask up front and normally, could we?
