This Is How Champions Are Born

There is no hate for him in her heart or mind. There is only hope that he will come to terms with his past and move on. There is only compassion for wanting to get to know him so that their own story could blossom. Liland was different. He was courageous but in a way; he too was holding onto a past that wanted little to do with him anymore. Why go and bother with someone whom had moved on and was happy where they were? Perhaps he had loved her but she had chosen someone else and now his hatred was driving another to taking everything he had. All she wanted was to stay and not be forced somewhere else. She wanted to go places on her own terms and nothing more or less. This was her choice in choosing this as her home and him as her stallion. She didn't need anyone changing her choice for her. Let well enough alone. She knew that if he continued; there was a chance that he would lose her to another too. This wasn't something she wanted and she hoped to everything that he would understand and could begin moving past what was holding him back. The hatred and anger needed to stop. The jealousy needed to stop.

Leyra had been kicked from the herd by Liland. She held anger and discontent for him. Glory didn't blame her but neither was she holding onto a grudge for Liland. The past belonged in the past. It wasn't hers to contemplate over except to let him know that she needed him to move on. Holding onto something that you no longer had control over was only going to hurt you in the end. Glory didn't want this for him or for her. She didn't want to be someone's captive because of past happenings. She wanted to be happy with whom she chose. It was time a grudge and the hate come to an end.

A call sings out and she knows instantly whom it is. Liland. It was male and she knew no one else whom would call to her. Gently she moves at a soft canter over the homeland. It is that she slows to a trot upon the initial approach. It isn't long before she is pausing before him and extending her nose in greeting. Softly her snout brushes against his own and a warm breath of air is expelled to him. Liland. Is everything okay? She found the call had been abrupt and out of place. What was the purpose of he calling to her now? There was tension she could sense on him and she wondered. What was his direct future in hold of?
