I've forgotten what it is to love

It had been cold yes, but it had not been something she could not handle. A shake of her coat and tendrils was all that she'd done before focus was again on Vercingetorix. He was not the ranked leader here, but that did not matter to Aponi. She had liked him and she had been curious to learn more. She had come back to his homeland with him by her own decision. Life alone was not something she had wanted. Perhaps his claim had been but a gentle little thing, that is all that is was. He'd not been rude about it or vicious. He'd merely come across someone who had intrigued him and had acted upon it.

The tides were not something to take lightly and she had not. The swim had been a somewhat forced one on her part but she was not without her own strength. She could handle it even if it were somewhat of a challenge. A challenge she'd been up for after all. She could find the ground beneath the chilly waters but she could not walk either. That was alright though and that part of her journey is done now.

I am sure that it is. She offers him gently and flashes a smile. Those brilliant eyes of hers taking him in with a certain shimmer of enthusiasm. Each season held its own simplicity and challenge. They went hand in hand usually. This did not worry her and she would see what each would bring in time. It wasn't like it was her intention to leave the Forest after all. She had come here with him and it was not in anger or hatred.

They moved from the shore itself and further inland. Further they went into where the air grew warmer in the wake of the forest around them. The wind gone from her damp coat now only meant that things were more pleasant. Vercingetorix spoke then of Persephone being the leader here. He mentioned the herd being here before his arrival and they were her family. Wasn't he now though; and she as well? She may be Vergingetorix's lady but initially the leader saw over them all right? That was how she imagined it ran most of the time anyway. Though; there was always room for leisure in the rules. A leader of a kingdom usually had no qualm in their men gaining their own mares. As long as everyone was calm and respectful. If they knew who the law was and respected it, then there were usually no issues.

A family is nice. She offered in response before he was continuing again about her inquiry of the land being scarred with hatred. It had been recent and she had wondered. No more though; he was telling her what he knew. Yes, unfortunately they tend to be. She pauses to glance around them before she returned her attention to Vercingetorix. There is always room for rebirth of something in which might have been scarred. He mentions her staying then but that he would not stop her should she choose otherwise. A smile found her lips here and she responded with a gentle voice. I have no reason to leave. You have only showed me respect and kindness. I can hope of much the same from the others when I come to meet them. There is always room for hope after all.

Have you met any aside from this Persephone as you called her? Or had things been quiet in his return? She does not know and she is quiet now as she watches him. Waiting of course for words to follow in the wake of her own.
