The Rules
  • There will be no fraternizing with enemies. If you put yourself knowingly in danger, don't expect a rescue.
  • We are only as strong as our weakest link. See to it that you are getting stronger in some skill that is useful, whether it is battling, recruiting, charming, etc.
  • The King and Queen have final say in all matters.
I CANNOT BE ALTERED

The new world he found himself in was already very confusing. There was a bright light and feeling like he was suffocating but then the sac around him burst open and air filled his lungs. He kicked himself free, but even with fluid still filling his ears, he heard a lot of noise. What was all that growling and screaming. He felt the soothing warmth of his mother's tongue as she cleaned him then all of a sudden things started to escalate. Why was he being rushed to get up? He was still wet! Feeling flustered and stressed, he snorted, trying to clear his nostrils of the fluid as he opened his eyes and looked around, trying to get himself situated. What was going on? What was all that growling? Who made that kind of noise? Snorting again, he tried to bring his legs up under him, wobbling as he tried to stay upright.

He fell a couple times but his heart was hammering in his chest. All the noise was disconcerting and he felt fear. Looking around, he saw furry creatures leaping at the two larger horses. One of them was his mother. He knew her scent. What was that other smell? Blood? His nostrils flared and he kept trying to stand. Finally he was able to take steps on wobbly black legs. He tried to get closer to his mother but one of those furry things jumped in front of him. He saw a flash of white fangs then his mother was there standing over him, hurrying him away. His ears pinned to his head as he snorted and turned where she was nudging him. There was another wobbly body with them, a smaller golden filly. He felt his body brush against hers as they were escorted away from all the screaming and gnashing of teeth.

He wanted to look back but at the same time, he was afraid to. Instead he reached out to the filly beside him, inhaling her scent and nibbling at her ears for a distraction. Suddenly another large horse was running up to them. Man, he was TALL. The colt snorted as he looked up at him, blinking in the bright light. The large horse was talking to his mother. Was this his father? Before he could ask, another large horse came charging up. He spoke less but reached out to touch the colt's mother before hurrying off in the direction they went. Gasping as he realized there was danger there, the colt tried to whinny after him. He shouldn't go that way! But the other horse was already out of sight. Shivering as he wondered what would happen to him, the colt turned back to his mother, nuzzling at her front legs. He was hungry. Where was the food anyway?
