Freedom! Finally, she was old enough to dive into the waves surrounding the shores of Paradise and venture out onto the mainland. Of course, her mother probably would have liked her to wait until she was over birthing the newest addition to the family and she most definitely would have rather Medusa had an escort but what would be the fun in that? No, Medusa was more than capable of taking care of herself so she snorted and plunged into the ocean water, pushing her way out past the waves and making the swim. As she hauled herself onto the shores of the Meadow, she shook out her coat and gave a great snort to blow out the water that had seeped in, tossing her head before she took a moment to look around. This was it? Grass and flowers as far as the eye could see. Blue and brown eyes took it all in before she raced off across the meadow, kicking up her heels and bucking to let out all her energy. She wondered vaguely if any other yearlings would be out and about this spring. Maybe she could find some to create trouble with! Throwing up her head, she let out a high pitched bugle of challenge, wondering if any would dare to answer back. Maybe her parents would have rather she waited to be escorted to her new home in Tinuvel but her "betrothed" could always wait to meet her. He could swim his happy ass here to meet her halfway for all she cared. He didn't have a claim on her, at least not yet. She wanted to feel the power of the wind beneath her legs and the quiver of battle cry in her throat. She wanted it all and no one would stop her.
