GOD WON'T SAVE YOU NOW

Warsaw
you should have known the price of evil

Her decision was clear in her body language before she even spoke the words. Warsaw couldn't blame her fear of him or her hate, but he couldn't say she was wise either. Ylva would be vulnerable in her grief and her heavy state of pregnancy and she was bound to come across another young Warsaw. He could see her being charmed into following a stranger and into a life of repeated mistakes. Though she did not know of the Inlet's change nor could she have known Warsaw's new resolve.

Warsaw had no intention of harming the unborn child of Liland as he might have strategized in the past. They had their problems, but now that he was gone from his island, Liland was no bother to him. The children that remain behind are of no concern to the old grey King as his main focus is on his own progeny. It was the word of Torsten that causes her to speak up. Seems she didn't have the strength to properly answer his proposal, but no matter. He knew the answer.

He watches her stand as her lips shake out the shock of his words. Warsaw nods his head at her question to confirm what he has said. Torsten would be a father, a father to an inbred child. It was said among his herd that Tauri was the child of Nova and Requiem. His son had deceived him for years, lied about Tauri's existence, and lied about knowing how she was created. Warsaw stood back and watches as the relationship his young Fjord son shared with his young mate becomes shattered.

But he doesn't tell Ylva this. Ylva asks how their son was doing and asks a favor of Warsaw. It was clear she was unable to travel far, the ocean would surely kill her if she tried, so the grey King nods his head. A sigh leaves his lips for feeling some ounce of compassion for the mare. Once his plaything, Ylva was now grown into the rule of a Queen beside Liland and grown out of Warsaw's grasp. She was no longer that easied preyed upon youth, but her situation may her easy prey still.

"I will do this for you Ylva, but remember this kindness for future reference. I expect my kingdom will be safe from your next lover." Dark mochas narrow as he gives her a hard stare. Liland had done well to rip up his home so he expects her bad taste in stallions to not lead her down a similar path as before. "Good luck on your journey." His head bobs to her before he turns and walks away with cracking joints. Warsaw makes it to the sea where he trips back home to tell Torsten his mother wanted to see him.

---
(Torsten)

He swam hastily after hearing word of his mother asking for him. It has been some time since they last saw each other. The last time he was angry at her for becoming so close to Liland despite his dislike for the stallion. Mother didn't care for his feelings at that time (at least he thought so) and she would rather spend all her time with the twins and Liland's family than himself. This was the main reason he left the Bay to be raised the rest of the way by his father. Torsten looked up to Warsaw even though he never truly understood what Ylva went through because of him. In the young stallion's eyes, Warsaw was strong and successful. He was his father whom he looked up to.

"Mother!" He shouts as he spots his mother fighting to stay on her hooves. Torsten promptly comes beside her and offers his mother the strength of his back to help keep her upright. It was clear she was heavy with child to which he had no guesses to who the child's father might be. It was obvious was Liland had done to her. "I told you he was no good," he whispers as his dark eyes scan their surroundings for danger. He would protect his mother at all costs.
