Meadow

Force-claiming is not allowed here. This is a peaceful, neutral area meant for socialising.

Mother Goose is just a fairy-tale

It is him grazing in the meadows. Why had he returned here? It was only one of the best places to find others grazing without a home. It is mere moments of silence that you marvel in before you make a choice in who to meet. Who to approach and offer your friendship and home. Goose had been here more than once. It was a runway for acquaintances. It is in a moment like this that others approach him not of choice but by mere coincidences. A child and a mare. One barking sternly with motherly worry. She had nothing to worry about though. Goose isn't here to harm another's child. He is not a monster whom would aim to take away for his own benefits. That is not the life that the Vanner wanted to ever live. He wanted to be seen as strong and courageous. He also wanted to be seen as compassionate and kind. Quiet was something he was on occasion but in these moments, it would be broken. A simple graze interrupted by a mare and child.

It was not with anger though. They are out exploring. It is the child that he studies a moment though. So like another. So like someone he had known. Could it be? Was this one of Liland's abandoned mares? It sent sorrow through him to even think about it. Why had it happened? How could anyone abandon their own family? It just made little sense to him. It wasn't right. He was no mind reader though. He was not in the presence of those that had abandoned them all. He could neither question and answer what they couldn't possibly know. He shakes his head to clear his thoughts though. Just in time too to hear the mare apologize for disturbing his being there.

It is no trouble. There is no need to apologize for wandering. It was something they all did at times wasn't it? His eyes sweep over the child again but it was not in a creepy realization. His eyes held curiosity and wonderment. There is no mistaking whom the child was. There is clear knowledge though. He knew of those that had been lost by Liland. He had wondered about them. This was clearly one of those mares and one of his children. Why though; was she here now? Hadn't she a place elsewhere? Had she left of her own accord then? Had she come in search of a new home? A new life for her son and she? Questions he had no answers to at these moments, but perhaps he might eventually.

Forgive me for my realization miss, but the child is a son of the Bay's previous holder? Liland's? Of course he was but he felt it in respect that he inquire of her. "Little Runar did you say?" Of course he'd heard the call of the mare on her son's name. "Oh forgive me, you know not my own. I am Goose and I am the Bay's current leader." He pauses then in wonderment of whether or not she would stay and talk. Would she give her own name? Would they hit it off? Who knows but one cannot blame him for wanting to hold a conversation with a pretty lady such as herself and the adorable child at that.
