He wasn't far from the creek when he heard the sounds of them racing towards the water. He peers around the tree he stands near to see the tiny newborn Lakota near the creek. Her back was turned to him as she asked his mother a question. He thought about not making himself known. This whole situation was tearing him up inside, but the filly had to know he still cared. Her mother might have abandoned her here, but he wasn't about to do the same.

Ironclad steps out from behind the tree to make himself known. Sad eyes raise to his mother's gaze. She has always been a good mother to him and he knows she will be everything she can to make sure Lakota lives a good life here. She wouldn't let the girl starve or be alone, but his mother had no way of feeding such a young filly. Without words, he walks into the cool stream and keeps going until he had reached them on the other side. He greets Lakota with the best smile he could muster, but his eyes mostly stay to his mother.

"Can we keep her?" He asks Vita Nova with heavy eyes. He was fully set on the current situation that he didn't notice Ysabel approaching from the side he just emerged from. She didn't have her foals with her, but she comes closer until she was stopped right beside the stream. "I could help if she needs someone to nurse from. Haskuldr could share." She eyes the filly for a couple of seconds before returning her gaze to her Queen.
