The mare looked over as he approached and she didn't seem to be afraid or hostile when she saw him so Akello took that as a good sign. When she slowed to a stop, the young stallion did the same, turning to face her with an eager expression and pricked ears as she said that she was visiting. She called her home the Badlands and gave her name as Shararat. He grinned and tossed his head. "Nice to meet you, Shararat! Why name a place the Badlands? Is it really bad there?" He tilted his head, puzzlement and curiosity in his eyes as he waited for her response. She asked if it was any trouble, her being here, and said she wanted to see other places on Salem. She called the Desert beautiful and he looked around as if taking it in for the first time. What did she see?

Sure, he didn't think his home was ugly or anything but he didn't know if he would call it beautiful either. It didn't have a lot of color, mostly just white sand. He shook his head though as he remembered her question. "No, no trouble at all. We welcome visitors. I haven't been to other herds yet so now you've got me curious about the rest of Salem. Maybe I'll pay a visit to the Badlands." He said with a sly smirk. She said the sky looked big and asked if he thought someone was watching from up there. The idea made him scowl thoughtfully for a minute before he gave a soft snort and looked back at her. "I don't know, that seems sort of creepy, doesn't it? To have someone spying on everything you do?" Maybe there was something she knew about it that he didn't.
