Sakhmet
..mare..five..arabian..grey..15.1 hh..

In the face of adversity, Sakhmet always knew what to do. But now, in this foreign land, she is left feeling displaced on how she should feel about anything. Even Eness does not behavior as she usually does, daring to step in front of her and stand between her and the strange men. Ears press further against her poll, barely hearing them speak as she stares at the back of her beloved’s head, as if trying to see what she may really be thinking.

When her attention returns to the two stallions, princes or not, they would be treated the same as she would anyone else. The distrust continues to ride within her, not daring to let her ears unpin despite the length of their stories. It has kept Sakhmet quiet for the duration, and the only thing that makes her waver, is Eness. It was not right to deny her the chance to return to a home they both desired just because of her own past. Eness would always be treasured, she can see it now with the way the star colored man dares to look at her briefly each time. Her beauty would always be fated to a First Wife, to a life most always strive for. But her heart is pure, and it is not only beauty that draws others to her friend. The light that resides in her is nothing like Sakhmet had ever felt in another’s presence, and the darkness in others would always be drawn to it.

Sakhmet knew what she said next would seal their fate and despite how she felt, she would always put Eness first. Just as her friend did now, when she would not let them be broken apart. “If you yakhdae us, castration and rendering raw will be the least of your concerns.” the pale mare said, the words not a threat but a solid promise as she gives to the desires of Eness. “la tujriw ealaa qawl aismak 'ayuha almuharib?” Sakhmet challenged then, her two-tone eyes burning into the dark stallion.

Yakhdae: deceive
la tujriw ealaa qawl aismak 'ayuha almuharib: dare you not say your name, warrior
