He felt actual fear when Cain towered over him. The stallion could had easily killed him for wanting to take Cerosi. He could have, but somehow, he did not. Ironclad was able to scramble away from serious harm, but he was not leaving the Desert without an injury. A nice big deep purple bruise covers his shoulder and make him wince when he takes a wrong step. It took the whole swim home for him to begin to feel rejuvenated. How the ocean water rolls over his frame felt cleansing. That battle felt…great! Suddenly the fear he felt for the other stallion went away and was replaced by excitement.

He comes out of the water leaping and bouncing up the beach towards the grass. Blue eyes search for someone to talk to, someone he could brag to about his first battle. He thinks maybe Medusa would be proud of him after yelling at him over the Xiomara situation. Then there was Kvothe who might loving snuggle him for his injury. So many possibilities! Ironclad dances across the meadow until his energy finally begins to slow. His head tosses before lowering to a grass for a bite to eat. Soon the morning frosts would spread to cover the entire area until it turned to ice.

Winter was coming to Tinuvel and he was intrigued to see how his small herd would handle it. This would be Medusa’s first winter on Tinuvel which was a big step from Atlantis. He had no idea where Kvothe comes from so he did not know how she would fair. A large grin spreads over his lips as he thinks of a way he will keep both warm. He then begins to think about the first night he shared with his chestnut beauty. They almost bred, well he almost bred her, but at the time he didn’t know what he was doing. After talking to his father, then Xiomara, and then Medusa…he had some hormones to work through. Feelings too.
