With an innocent heart, she loves

Eness
..mare..five..arabian..black rabicano..15.1 hh..

She understood through careful words and watching of the face that Atair had his demons, he had a past that so clearly haunted him every waking moment. Eness does not press, not yet at least, relishing in the fact they would have all the time in the world now. She had sought him out, against the careful watchful eye of her Sakhmet, to tread a line that had clearly led them to where they were supposed to be.

“I prayed on my stars every clear night i could, to the moon i told my secrets not even Sakhmet knew or could come to understand,” his breath his warm against her skin, hard to speak and hard to think, her emotions piling up in her throat that has her voice sounding so soft and meek, “there you were, a wonderful sight by your brother. My stars became real on the coat adorning your back and neck, as if you wore all the things I whispered into the night and gathered each fallen wishing star atop your skin.” What a terribly silly thing to say; flustered she pulls her wandering nose closer to herself. Speaking like a starry eyed filly, how childish of her.

Eness welcomes his gentle touch, perhaps all she’d receive given the oath she bound him to, but it was enough for her to feel his featherlight caress and know in her heart and soul that this was right. They would learn each other before ever taking part in the greatest of treasures she could ever provide him, and it would be well worth the wait. “By the time my season comes again, i will know you Atair; i will know all that you are both inside and out,” she speaks her vow, determined for him to know that she would not be swayed by the things that plague his mind. His words switch to finally address the rather large elephant in the room; Sakhmet. If she could Eness would have curled up even more from where she stands. The pair had been inseparable till now, the void between them dark and weeping.

“She has been all that i have,” finally the watery beads of salty tears escape from the corners of her eyes as she looks from Atair to the direction she can only assume Sakhmet had run towards, “and I have forsaken her. It is not you my stars, i can only blame myself. Maybe if I hadn't let myself be so close to her we wouldn’t have suffered so much right now, kept her at a distance to spare the breaking of our hearts. I do not know if she will see reason, especially coming from you, as I'm sure she would rather meet you on the battlefield than to hear what you have to say.”

of cloudless climes and starry skies;
