In our day, NAPS WAS used by the Navy and Marines to prep enlisted men for taking the entrance exam to USNA and there was a quota of about 180 from active duty USN USMC and men from reserves and another same amount from the reserves. i recall our class got many from NAPS former EMs and I find for 2024 the total of 80 ( 79?) seemss "fishy". Can it be enlisted men/women of the naval service are not academically suited for selection to NAPS or USNA Wonder why things were changed ? ; To be able get better football players???? or other sports stars? What about better potential leaders of people.and career minded Plebes.
