Does this book identify the first year Herndon was climbed as the tradition of no more plebes.

I have asked the question before and have never received a definitive answer. Did the Class of 1954 climb Herndon at the end of plebe year -- and if so who in our Class put the hat on top? I don't remember watching it or participating.
