I agree. The 2nd Amendment is at the top of the legal heirarchy of laws pertaining to weapons. The right to bear arms does not include using them to commit crimes. During our lifetime the progressive tendency has been to show mercy to the criminals, but at the expense of forsaking the security of the innocent. I think one state used to give the possibility of a death sentence to anyone using a firearm in committing a crime. The reasoning was that threatening with a gun meant the criminal was willing to use it, and only the fact that he didn't was circumstance. I think one of the effects of the recent riots will be to start the pendulum swinging back the other way. Replies:
