I've forgotten what it is to love

Aponi knew what it was to be a leader. She'd never had the heart for it. Not that she like anyone, could not have made the effort. Not that she could not have tried. Aponi was just not interested in being on top of it all. The tasks of a daily chore list would have been so endless and overwhelming. Aponi had the courage and compassion but she did better as a part of a herd. A family. She needn't the power that came with running a herd or a kingdom. She only wanted the companionship and to help protect and populate her home.

Persephone seemed perfectly capable of taking the reigns where leadership was concerned. Aponi would offer her advisement should ever it be asked of her without hesitation though. It is in these moments that another comes forward and Aponi is pushing herself into action.

Gently; her movements lead her into the direction of the call. A stranger in their home but he smelled strongly of one of those hidden realms. The Savannah was talked about rarely but in lore it seemed. Until now. She had come upon the borders of it a time or two in her exploration of the land around her, but she had never had enough want to indulge herself into remaining away from her herd for long. It seems now that this stranger's scent has come from those of the Savannah she had taken in on one of those endeavors. Curiously she comes hither and pauses only a short distance from the bay tobiano. Sparkling eyes watch him with intrigue and interest. It is not long before a honey sweet tone escapes her lips to him.

"Hello stranger. I am Aponi of the Forest here." She does not know him but nothing in his posture spoke of any threat to them. Perhaps he has taken claim of the territory on their borders? Aponi had not really known there was a territory there to claim until these moments as the other smells heavily of there. "Might I inquire of your own?" She is no leader here and hardly in comparison to the pretty queen. She is not incapable of helping out though and it was not like she couldn't come to his beckoning. She was a part of this family after all and felt entitled to greet another who did not hail of their home. Potential friends after all; were something anyone could get on board the band wagon for.
